Application Woes

We had an application today where he both accidently insulted our guild and showed that he was totally unprepared. I just don't get why people even bother?

I'm not talking for the fact that he was a poor applicant in his accomplishments (which he was) he just didn't seem to understand the basics of why you put in an application and what was expected.

There's some basic understandings when you put in an application to a guild:That you're trying to impress by putting your best foot forward. Is that a fair assumption?

So why do we always see applicants with gear without gems or enchants?

I just figure they don't think it through. Some think it's more than realistic that we'll wait for you to be good and ready to gem and chant your gear. Unfortunately for you, if you're not fully gemmed and enchanted when you put your application in, most guilds won't even consider you.

Lesson to learn from this. Get prepared before you put in an application. Get the simple things out of the way and start on a good foot. First impressions count.

You cannot fake it if they won't let you in the door.
