Question: What’s the difference between a good Holy Paladin and a great Holy Paladin?
Answer: The ability to think for yourself.
When you’re beginning out, the best thing you can do is read everything you can get your greedy little hands on.
If you’re good enough, there’s a point where the information floating around won’t help you anymore. It takes a lot of experience and knowledge to get to this point.
There’s a saying. "Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment."
It means that you have to learn from experience. When you’re reading, you’re learning from other people’s experience, which is what you need when you’re a new or intermediate Holy Paladin player.
Once you get to the point where you’re no longer gaining experience from reading, to improve you must get it from your own experience. This requires trying new things, making mistakes and learning from them.
This all requires you to think for yourself.
If you’re going to be good at being a Holy Paladin, your long-term plan must be that you need to learn to think for yourself. It’s what the top level Paladin’s do.
